Postdoctoral student position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics at the Institute of Physics, Zagreb

IMAQSS at the Institute of Physics, Zagreb, Croatia, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics to work on a research project Influence of Magnetic Anisotropy on Quantum Spin Systems. The project is focused on experimental investigation of magnetic anisotropy in new low-dimensional and/or frustrated spin systems and systems with strong magnetoelectric coupling. The duration of the post is limited to 31. May 2018.

A PhD in Physics or equivalent degree is required. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in experimental low–temperature physics of condensed matter. However, we also encourage applications from candidates with backgrounds in ESR spectroscopy, x-ray scattering, optical spectroscopy and materials sciences. For more details on the research topics please visit the project page  http://imaqss.ifs.hr/

The IMAQSS project is granted by the Croatian Science Foundation.

Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Dr. Mirta Herak  (mirta@ifs.hr)
